Moodle

Known IssueAdvice
Accessibility+ Toolkit report. For a small number of Moodle spaces, the Accessibility+ toolkit block shows a “Scheduled for analysis” message and does not process the Accessibility+ report. This issue has been reported to the vendor and will be fixed in a future update. For Moodle spaces that display this issue, there is currently no way to process the report. We recommend following the general digital accessibility guidance or contacting tel@bath.ac.uk for support with developing your content accessibly.
Library List links in some Moodle spaces may not be able to be updated. This has arisen due to a change in the way Moodle deals with LTI 1.1. If you are unable to edit the Library List link (you will receive a warning message), you can delete it and create a new one.
We’ve been made aware of a syncing issue (between students and activity) in the following scenario when using FeedbackFruits:

— a new FbF activity is created where the ‘student collaboration’ setting of ‘Students evaluate’ is set to ‘individually’
— this is added to a Moodle space where you have also previously added a FeedbackFruits activity
— this results in students from your previous activity being added to your new activity even though they are no longer enrolled in your Moodle space.
This has been reported to the vendor and investigations are underway.

In the meantime, it is possible to work around this by changing the setting ‘Students evaluate’ to ‘in groups’ and then selecting the SAMIS cohort group (new this year) that includes all your current students. This should result in the activity syncing to the correct students.
Grade Transfer may fail unexpectedly for some assessment activities. This has been investigated and relates to assessment items in SAMIS being marked as ‘anonymous’. A partial fix is in place, where the failure to send data will be reported in Moodle (in the Grade Transfer page) for your attention. An additional fix will be put in place, before the Christmas break, to enable transfer to work in such situations.

Panopto

Known IssueAdvice
On 6 September Panopto archiving took place. This process may have resulted in some of your video recordings being marked for deletion or being archived (i.e. become unavailable to view). Read about this process in this article. If a recording is archived and you wish to make it ‘live’ again, you can.
If a recording is marked for deletion (i.e. moved to the recycle bin) you can download a copy of it if you wish. Read about this process in this article.

Zoom

Known IssueAdvice
There are some reports of students not being able to access Zoom meetings.Students need to create their Zoom accounts before attending their first meeting. This involves logging into the Zoom app or Zoom website using Single Sign On (SSO) and then activating their account.

If students have tried to login for the first time to Zoom from a meeting link, they will receive an error (because their account is not yet active). To clear this error, they will need to clear their web browser cache.

Additionally, it is important that students, once their accounts are active, access meeting links from within Moodle. Staff should not share the Zoom specific link that Moodle generates as using this link will skip authentication which will also prevent easy access.

Mentimeter

Known IssueAdvice
Keyboard shortcuts (such as H to hide or show results) do not work from an embedded Mentimeter slide in PowerPoint.Access the poll directly from the presentation in your Mentimeter account (via the website). Keyboard shortcuts will work when the poll is accessed this way.

Mahara

Known IssueAdvice
The copy block feature introduced in a recent update is producing some unexpected results and has therefore been disabled. The issue will be investigated.Students can still copy and paste content into blocks where required.

Xerte

Known IssueAdvice
The Matching Texts page is not displaying hints, and the Submit button disappears after one attempt. You may want to avoid this page type until the issue is resolved. A bug has been noted to the Xerte team.
