We currently offer the following staff development workshops. The workshops can be found on the Events pages for booking.

Introduction to Gen AI using Microsoft Copilot
Microsoft Copilot is described as ‘your everyday AI companion’. This short online session to get started with using Microsoft Copilot (Chat). No previous experience of using Generative AI is required.
Main objectives:
- Use Copilot to answer simple questions and requests
- Use Copilot to generate images
- Use Copilot to analyse the information in an uploaded file (E.g. A spreadsheet / assessment rubric)

A departmental exploration of Gen AI in the curriculum
This longer in-person workshop aims to provide teaching staff with the opportunity to explore how Gen AI can be used for learning and teaching purposes; learning design, curriculum design, assessment and feedback.
Main objectives:
- Examine the pros and cons of Gen AI use in your specific subject-based curriculum
- Classify the skills both staff and students will need to develop for effective, ethical use of Gen AI tools in your subject area
- Create some practical, shareable and reusable examples of Gen AI practice that can aid skills development; making the most of the pros whilst reducing the cons
- Identify future department needs that are of particular concern
