Digital Accessibility in STEM: complex images and PDFs

STEM subjects often rely on diagrams, graphs, equations, PDFs and specialist resources that can present unique accessibility challenges. Building on the SCULPT framework (the baseline standard that resources should meet to satisfy Level 1 requirements) this session covers practical approaches to making complex visual and document-based content more accessible. In this webinar, participants will explore strategies for describing complex images and diagrams, improving access to PDF-based materials, and using accessible notes, recordings and library reading lists to support student learning.
