Introduction to Generative AI using Microsoft Copilot.

This session introduces Copilot accessed using a web browser at https://m365.cloud.microsoft. It does not cover the Copilot functionality in Microsoft Office. This session is scheduled for 1 hour including Q&A.

This event is suitable for any member of staff  who would like to get started with using Copilot in a web browser.  No previous experience of using Generative AI is required.

Main objectives:

• Use Copilot to answer questions and refine its responses
• Use Copilot to summarise/analyse information in an uploaded file (E.g. A book manuscript or spreadsheet)
• Use Copilot to generate images

Session length: 

60 minutes including Q and A.

This is an online event held on Teams. It will be delivered by members of the TEL Team.

If you already have experience with using Copilot and Generative AI, you may prefer to attend one of our in-person practical sessions. Please see the events calendar here on the Teaching Hub or contact the Tel team and we will be happy to advise.

Copilot is regularly updated and it is not possible to overview all of its functionality in one hour. We will send attendees links to helpful ‘follow up’ resources after the session.

A record of attendance will be uploaded to iTrent for staff development purposes. Please indicate in the ‘Specific Requirements’ box when booking if you do NOT wish for your attendance to be uploaded to iTrent.
