Introduction to Generative AI using Microsoft Copilot.

*This session introduces Copilot accessed using a web browser at m365.cloud.microsoft. It does not cover Copilot functionality inside Microsoft Office. This session is scheduled for 1 hour including Q&A*

Microsoft Copilot is described as ‘Your everyday AI companion’. This online session is suitable for any member of staff who would like to get started with using Copilot in a web browser.  No previous experience of using Generative AI is required.

Main objectives:

  • Use Copilot to answer simple questions and requests
  • Use Copilot to analyse the information in an uploaded file (E.g. A book manuscript)
  • Use Copilot to generate images

Session length: 

60 minutes including Q and A.

Copilot is constantly evolving and it is not possible to overview all its functionality in this introductory session. We will send attendees links to helpful ‘follow up’ resources after the session.

Format:

Online (Teams). This session will be delivered by members of the TEL Team.

A record of attendance will be uploaded to iTrent for staff development purposes. Please indicate in the ‘Specific Requirements’ box when booking if you do NOT wish for your attendance to be uploaded to iTrent.
