Introduction to Generative AI using Microsoft Copilot for Bing

Microsoft Copilot for Bing is described as ‘Your everyday AI companion’. This short online session is suitable for any member of staff who would like to get started with using Copilot for Bing.  No previous experience of using Generative AI is required.

Main objectives:

• Use Copilot to answer simple questions and requests
• Use Copilot to generate images
• Use Copilot to analyse the information in an uploaded file (E.g. A spreadsheet / assessment rubric)

Session length: 

45 minutes (including questions)

Format:

Online (Teams). This session will be delivered by members of the TEL Team.

A record of attendance will be uploaded to iTrent for staff development purposes. Please indicate in the ‘Specific Requirements’ box when booking if you do NOT wish for your attendance to be uploaded to iTrent.

Please note that Copilot for Bing is in development and it is not possible to overview all of its functionality in this introductory session. We will send attendees links to helpful ‘follow on’ resources after the session.
