Can AI Tools help with Academic Research

Join Stephen Taylor, as shares his experience of GenAI from a International schools perspective. Stephen presented during the Bath EdD Summer School to colleagues in the Dept. Education, in early July 2023. AI in Education was a topic of high interest, but many are at the beginning of understanding the potential, problems and applications of GPT-related tools in research and academia. Within this session Stephen will give an overview of some issues in AIEd, as well as tools available to aid in research discovery.

Speaker Bio

Stephen Taylor is Currently Director of Innovation in Learning and Teaching at Western Academy Beijing.  Stephen created and managed the #MYPChat chats and the @MYPChat roaming account, and love the shared practice and collegiality that the community demonstrates. Stephen is the author of i-Biology.net, and believe that from our position of privilege in international schools we should share resources, ideas, successes and challenges.

Stephen graduated from the MA in International Education pathway at the University of Bath in 2016 and thinks critically about his teaching and acts on his learning. Stephen is currently on the Bath EdD programme.
