A well-designed assessment can enhance learning, enable useful feedback and encourage students to think carefully about how they might use the technology available to them.
This session aims to provide colleagues with the opportunity to consider some of the barriers to designing and delivering effective assessments along with practical examples and suggestions for good practice in this area. We will draw on key principles from AFL, inclusivity and utilising AI with integrity.
• To identify the hidden barriers for students created by assessment design
• To understand how to utilise unit assessments to enhance learning within the context of a whole course.
• To identify the risks and opportunities that are created by different types of assessments.
