Highly recommended for: FHEA applicants if not already done during induction. All colleagues engaged in blended teaching and learning.
Of interest to: all those involved in teaching at the University of Bath.

In this session we will look at blended learning, and consider the different definitions, personal experiences and methods for blended learning.
Attendees will identify approaches for embedding blended teaching into their own curriculum and compare different designs using the CASE (Consistency, Accessibility, Scaffolding and Engagement) framework.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand how to incorporate blended learning into existing teaching practice.
  • Apply strategies for engaging and communicating with students at different times before, during and after teaching.
  • Reflect on current use of learning technologies, and how they can be adjusted using the CASE framework.

Joining instructions and any pre course work will be sent out one week before delivery of the session.

Please note: for those not on probation, a record of attendance will be uploaded to iTrent for staff development purposes. Please indicate in the ‘Specific Requirements’ box when booking if you do NOT wish for your attendance to be uploaded to iTrent.
