Target Audience: Only available to early career academic Lecturers. This session should be attended after the Introduction.

Session Information

This session is designed to enable you to reflect on your needs as a Lecturer as you start teaching at the UoB and start addressing potential challenges/questions you may encounter at this stage. You will be invited to a 75 minute session within the time range shown.

The session will offer opportunities to:

• discuss specific teaching related issues/questions with your peers;
• seek advice from a tutor including signposting to relevant resources and additional sources of support;
• ask any questions.

Learning Outcomes

After this session you will have:

• considered some challenges that you may face as a new Lecturer in HE (UoB)
• discussed the challenges and any specific questions related to your start of teaching with peers and tutors, and received some applicable advice

Preparatory work or pre-session expectations

You will be advised of any preparatory work a week before delivery the session. Your session may be in CB 4.7 or CB 4.9, you will receive notification of which room.
