For our first talk was from Bath’s own Dr Andrea Abbas, who delivered a talk on How Powerful Knowledge disrupts inequality. Dr Abbas discussed the concept of powerful knowledge and explores ideas that underpin the decolonising of the curriculum movement and feminist critiques of universities as sites that reinforce the dominance of 'malestream' knowledge.

For our second talk, we had a panel discussion where we looked at distributing power to students. We were fortunate to have three fantastic panellists; Eve Alcock, President of the SU here at Bath, Andrew Eagleton, the Student Engagement Coordinator, and Joe Thorogood, a lecturer at Coventry University. Our chair was Tamara Reid, a recent graduate and current Student Engagement Ambassador.
