Digital Tools and Resources provided by the Centre for Learning and Teaching 

The Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) supports a variety of digital tools to enhance teaching and learning. Signposted below are opportunities to learn about key platforms for learning and teaching such as Moodle and Panopto. You’ll find links to training materials, user guides, and support resources to help you effectively utilise these tools and develop your digital skills.

The Teaching Hub guidance provides comprehensive support, resources, and self-help guides for staff, including professional development and detailed reference articles on teaching tools and platforms 

Learn at your own pace with our online resources self-paced resources hosted on Moodle. 

The Moodle demo site gives you the opportunity to explore Moodle as a Teacher or Student. You must be on campus or using the University’s VPN to access it. 

The TEL team provides one-to-one support for staff on Technology Enhanced Learning queries, with the option to book a 30-minute online consultation with an Instructional Designer. 

Digital Skills Framework 

The Jisc Digital Capabilities framework [PDF] provides a comprehensive guide to the essential digital skills needed in higher education. It covers key areas such as IT proficiency, digital creation, communication, collaboration, and digital well-being. While the University of Bath does not mandate alignment with this framework, it serves as a valuable reference to help staff enhance their digital capabilities and effectively integrate technology into their teaching and support roles.

LinkedIn Learning 

The Library has negotiated a pilot extension to their current deal, allowing the whole University community to access LinkedIn Learning for the first time. This extension provides you with free access to all the content until the end of November 2025. 

LinkedIn Learning is an online educational platform that offers a vast library of video. It covers a wide range of topics, including business, technology, creative skills, and personal development. Staff and students at the University of Bath can use LinkedIn Learning to enhance their digital skills and gain new competencies relevant to their roles.
