CLT EduTalks – Panel Session – Blended & Distance Learning
Chaired by Marie Salter, Head of Technology Enhanced Learning, CLT.
Blended learning is an educational approach that combines traditional face-to-face instruction with online / digital learning experiences. This model integrates the best aspects of in-person teaching, with the flexibility, personalisation, and accessibility of online learning tools. However, while designed to enhance flexibility and accessibility, it may inadvertently create challenges such as poor implementation, engagement and consistency. This debate session will explore if current learning design practices aligns with the goals of blended learning design, empowering educators to create more adaptive, inclusive, and engaging learning experiences for all students.
Panel members: Amy Sampson, Associate Director, Greenwich Online. University of Greenwich; Yvonne Moore, Digital Educational Development Manager, Centre for Learning & Teaching; Daniela De Angeli, Director of Studies, Computer Science online MSc, University of Bath.
