In addition to using Re:View (Panopto) as a platform for creating and sharing teaching materials, it also provides a resource where students can create, edit and submit their own recordings for assessment. With a maximum file size limit of 50MB, Moodle is not a recommended platform for hosting large media files.   

The lecturer can create a dedicated assignment folder in Re:View where students individually or in groups can upload their recordings without seeing each other’s work. Unlike external systems such as YouTube, Re:View is also managed by the University, in accordance with the University’s legal obligations regarding GDPR and student data retention.
