Event Details

Join us at the latest in our Talk Teaching series of events as we reflect on the experience of developing and implementing our pilot VIP programme here at the University of Bath.

This 45-minute session will offer an overview of progress so far, together with a Panel Q & A session, where you’ll have the opportunity to discuss VIPs and the Bath experience with students and academic staff involved, as well as with Professor Stephen Marshall, University of Strathclyde. It’s a year since Professor Marshall visited Bath to talk about VIPs at his own institution, so we’re delighted he can join us again at this event.

The Vertically Integrated Project (VIP) concept is an innovative student education programme. VIPs are an attempt to create sustainable, research engaged communities of staff and students – both undergraduate and postgraduate – who work collaboratively on live projects. A pilot VIP @Bath programme launched  at the University of Bath in Semester 2 (2019/2020). Bath’s current VIP projects focus on community engagement, sustainable transport, student wellbeing and technology for social care,  and involve staff and students from a range of programmes and levels of study.
