Please join us for our December lunchtime hub event where Steve Cayzer will be discussing the challenges and opportunities of hybrid teaching and, more specifically, the Hyflex model.
Hyflex Teaching ; a reflection and discussion
The first semester in 2021-22, has seen a welcome return to campus for most of our students. But not all. A significant minority have at least started the year remotely (for my MSc course, around a third of the cohort).
Is this a challenge, or an opportunity? For me, the situation offered a unique chance to innovate and improve hybrid teaching, and in this lunchtime hub I will share my experiences and invite you to share your views, experiences, challenges and solutions. In particular, I explored the Hyflex model [1] and I will explain what this is, why it is both desirable and almost impossible to completely attain, and how it fits with Team Based Learning.
