Please join us for our December lunchtime hub event where Steve Cayzer will be discussing the challenges and opportunities of hybrid teaching and, more specifically, the Hyflex model.
Hyflex Teaching ; a reflection and discussion
The first semester in 2021-22, has seen a welcome return to campus for most of our students. But not all. A significant minority have at least started the year remotely (for my MSc course, around a third of the cohort).
Is this a challenge, or an opportunity? For me, the situation offered a unique chance to innovate and improve hybrid teaching, and in this lunchtime hub I will share my experiences and invite you to share your views, experiences, challenges and solutions. In particular, I explored the Hyflex model and I will explain what this is, why it is both desirable and almost impossible to completely attain, and how it fits with Team Based Learning.
Participants in this session will benefit from reading my blog (written before semester started!) and from reflecting on their own teaching experience this semester:
Please note the event will be hybrid and so you can attend in person and online.
When booking, please note if you would like to attend in person or through an online link.
