Citizenship and sustainability: Mapping the curriculum to the UN SDGs
Thursday 7th November: 3.30 – 5.00 pm
For our first in our Talk Teaching Series for 2019/20, we’re delighted to welcome Dr Georgina Gough, Associate Professor in Education for Sustainable Development, UWE.
Georgina’s presentation will enable participants to considers ways in which mapping their activities to the UN Sustainable Development Goals might benefit their own objectives and contribute to better student experience and student outcomes. The practice of education for sustainable development (ESD) will be briefly explored and participants will be given time to consider whether a common approach to ESD and engagement with the SDGs is of value to their own discipline area/ programme team and to make initial plans for progressing discussion and activity.

About Georgina Gough
Georgina is Associate Professor in Education for Sustainable Development at the University of the West of England. She researches into Education for Sustainable Development, Geography, Higher Education and Organisational Change. Her most recent publication is ‘Monitoring Progress Towards Implementing Sustainability and Representing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Curriculum at UWE Bristol’.
