As you gain more resources in terms of funding and collaborators you will have to negotiate what you choose to focus on and avoid taking on too many commitments. Negotiation is collaborative problem solving and this workshop introduces the skills required to be assertive and negotiate the projects you want to concentrate on confidently. It introduces a systematic approach to preparing and conducting negotiations at all levels

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

  • negotiate with greater assertiveness and learn to say no
  • control the outcomes of your negotiations in terms of resources
  • be able to develop more fruitful relationships and consider your long term reputation
