Mahara, our university e‑portfolio platform, will get a refreshed user interface in September 2026. The update will make Mahara more intuitive, accessible, and streamlined, supporting staff and students in creating engaging digital portfolios.

Join our Mahara Demonstration for a guided tour where we will highlight

• key steps for students to navigate Mahara, copy a template, create and edit Portfolio Pages and Collections, and share portfolios for feedback
• spotlight on what’s new in the user interface and how new features streamline portfolio creation
• guidance for students and steps to help you support student activity
• key dates for the upgrade

Target Audience 

Staff who currently use Mahara e-portfolios in learning, teaching and assessment / All teaching staff

Learning Outcomes 

• recognise upcoming changes and enhancements in Mahara interface
• review key steps in portfolio creation from a student view
• locate guidance for students and staff
