Event Details

This workshop will provide an overview of how to find relevant literature in social & policy sciences, economics, international development, politics, and international relations. We will be focusing on several general and specialist online resources provided by the Library, including International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS), Econlit, OECD iLibrary and Columbia International Affairs Online (CIAO).

We’ll look at how to use limits and filters and other strategies to reduce the number of search results. You will also learn how to save your searches, set up search alerts and export references to EndNote.

After attending this workshop you will be able to:

  • find appropriate literature to support your research from reputable online resources
  • use the alerting features (where available) to keep up to date
