Researching literature in your discipline may feel very different to literature reviews for pedagogic research papers, but the principles are the same. This session will provide participants with an introductory overview of how to undertake literature searches, where to find articles relevant to your research interests and how to store and manage your search results.

- Where to start with a literature search– selecting and applying your search terms
– selecting your search tools (the pros and cons of library catalogues, search engines and databases)
- How to manage your search results – refining and saving results
- How to maintain your current awareness over time – saving search strategies and email alerts
