Event Details

This workshop provides a brief introduction to a range of approaches to online communication and collaboration for learning and teaching activities.

The workshop will showcase examples and provide an overview of different technologies such as:

  • Discussion forums
  • Multi-media messaging walls
  • Web conferencing
  • Tools for group collaboration e.g. Office 365 Teams

The workshop will introduce some of the issues around asynchronous and synchronous (live-time) online communication, anonymity and peer learning. It will explore ways to drive two-way communication and support peer-to-peer interaction in the online environment.

The workshop is designed to provide an overview of the benefits and challenges of different approaches. It is not a hands-on session for using specific systems.

If this workshop is full and you are interested in attending, then please email tel@bath.ac.uk and we will add you to a waiting list.
