Event Details

In this two-hour workshop, Corony will continue to support the development of pedagogical research at Bath. Her visit follows on from a workshop held earlier this year as part of EduFest 2019.

The aims of the workshop are to:

  • Confirm the university’s strengths and weaknesses with regard to supporting pedagogical research, and extend the exercise to undertake a full SWOT analysis;

  • Confirm what types of pedagogical research should be the focus of the proposed support;

  • Agree on the broad nature and aims of a ‘PedR community’ of colleagues at Bath;

  • Agree on some short, medium and longer-term actions that can be undertaken by members of the PedR community, and specifically by those attending the workshop, in order to enhance the support for pedagogical research at Bath.

The workshop will have a set of outputs, including an action plan with a timescale and named ‘action owners’, progress indicators and planned outputs (e.g. a number of completed research projects for dissemination internally or externally) and an agreed date for the group’s next meeting. We will also seek a ‘PedR champion’ (or champions) who will be able to lead the initiative into its next stages.
