The session considers the breadth of the learning environment and introduces a variety of approaches towards creating a supportive and effective learning environment for all students through inclusive teaching practices and pastoral support. This session also focuses on student support in respect to student diversity. It identifies various definitions and types of diversity and its relevance within the HE environment.

The format of the session is an interactive workshop that combines short lecture style presentations and thematic activities using the UDL framework.

Joining instructions and any pre course work will be sent out one week before delivery of the session.

Please note: for those not on probation, a record of attendance will be uploaded to iTrent for staff development purposes. Please indicate in the ‘Specific Requirements’ box when booking if you do NOT wish for your attendance to be uploaded to iTrent.
