This workshop will provide a deeper knowledge and practical, solution focused approach to developing sustainable inclusive practice through the lens of Patterns beyond Labels. It will give the opportunity to actively explore how inclusive curriculum can benefit all students through managing content and includes sections on creating inclusive baselines, the Patterns beyond Labels approach, and strategies for decolonising the curriculum.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Understand and apply ‘Patterns beyond Labels’ to identify ‘patterns’ in student needs.
  2. Identify practical and tangible interventions which will support all learners through contextualised work on participants’ resources/delivery.
  3. Develop a toolkit of strategies for inclusion to decolonise learning and teaching.

Joining instructions and any pre course work will be sent out one week before delivery of the session.

Please note: for those not on probation, a record of attendance will be uploaded to iTrent for staff development purposes. Please indicate in the ‘Specific Requirements’ box when booking if you do NOT wish for your attendance to be uploaded to iTrent.
