Talk teaching – online in Teams (when face to face, with cake!)

Conversation (with cake) is a meeting for those who wish to network across departments and discuss issues in higher education whilst eating cake (you can eat your own). We welcome academics, teaching fellows and others who teach who have a particular interest in the topic.

No expertise in education literature is expected, but we encourage people to at least read some of the paper before they come. We also expect attendees to contribute to the discussion from their experience. This is a small mutual support and development group, not a workshop where things are taught.

All meetings last for about an hour.

Hazel, who runs the session, has tried to find some papers that are relevant to the moment, for this term. This one is about what students think about online lectures under a different name:

Cornelius, S., Gordon, C. Facilitating learning with web conferencing recommendations based on learners’ experiences.
