CHOICE – 115 – Citizenship and Sustainability in the Curriculum

Target Audience

Probationers: Choice Session for those on a contract of more than 18 months, (priority will be offered to probationers, if the session proves very popular).

Event Details

This session considers how we can interpret the theme of citizenship and sustainability and how embedding this theme in our curricula links to University goals and those of the wider education context, including Climate Action.

Frameworks are provided to help you reflect and discover where you already embed related aspects in your teaching, as well as to identify simple opportunities to further enhance this aspect of your curriculum.

Learning Outcomes
  • Recognise what citizenship and sustainability is and its importance in the curriculum
  • Reflect on where you already embed citizenship and sustainability in your teaching
  • Identify opportunities to further enhance citizenship and sustainability in your teaching

Joining instructions and any pre course work will be sent out one week before delivery of the session.

Please note: for those not on probation, a record of attendance will be uploaded to iTrent for staff development purposes. Please indicate in the ‘Specific Requirements’ box when booking if you do NOT wish for your attendance to be uploaded to iTrent.
