Event Details
Probationers: Choice Session for those on a contract of more than 18 months, (priority will be offered to probationers, if the session proves very popular).
Highly recommended for: Tutors and course designers
Of Interest to: all who teach
This session aims to develop a common understanding of the language used when talking about assessment.
A framework is also provided to break down this vast topic into several foci, allowing you to target a specific area.
This leads into an interactive discussion of practical ways for embedding assessment for learning in your teaching whilst recognising the various contexts in which you teach.
Finally, you will have the opportunity to plan a formative sequence of activities aimed at supporting your students to understand what good work looks like.
Joining instructions and any pre course work will be sent out one week before delivery of the session.
Please note: for those not on probation, a record of attendance will be uploaded to iTrent for staff development purposes. Please indicate in the ‘Specific Requirements’ box when booking if you do NOT wish for your attendance to be uploaded to iTrent.
