Why do students cheat? And what we can do to mitigate against academic misconduct in our learning environments? From how to talk to students about essay mills and study sites, to how to design assessments that combat common forms of cheating, this session provides essential tools to help foster academic integrity at all levels of study.
Whether you’re a GTA, new to the University, or an experienced lecturer at Bath, this interactive session will enable you to explore what you can do in your own practice to reduce the chances of student cheating. You’ll also discover what support is available for you and for our students in our regulations, our Academic Integrity Training and Test (AITT), and from our professional services too.
Alongside examples of challenges and solutions from across the HE landscape, you’ll be able to reflect on, plan, and discuss potential changes to your own teaching to see how to better support your students to become ethical scholars.
