Event Details
This workshop will provide an overview of the ChemDraw software package used for drawing chemical structures and reactions. This will be an introductory session assuming no prior knowledge, and will allow plenty of time for you to practice using ChemDraw. We will consider strategies for drawing a reaction including lining up the different elements and ensuring that arrows are the same style and length. We’ll also look at how to correct mistakes!
After attending this workshop, you will:
- be able to use ChemDraw to draw accurate chemical structures and reactions
- know how to access and use publisher ‘style sheets’ to format structures for publication
- know how to transfer a drawing to a Word document and into a SciFinder search
- be able to use basic prediction tools (e.g. NMR, Chemical properties)
